Morning sky from Woodlands.Did my first ever wedding as an assistant photographer today. It was super interesting!
If there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that I learned more from the experience today, than I did from the time spent during the entire duration of my SIP so far.
I was assisting Uncle Zhiming, the main photographer, as a second photographer. He was nice enough to loan me his flash so that I wouldn't be struggling with the difficult light conditions. The SB-28 that I got is an older flash model from Nikon, and as such, certain settings on the flash were not automatically paired with the camera when it was attached. I struggled to take decent pictures and control the flash at the same time, that really motivated me to improve my knowledge on photography, and not to mention, practice more!
The whole day event ended at around 10 plus, and Uncle Zhiming offered to send me home. We had a nice chat on the ride back and he gave me some really good advice on how to improve my photography skills.
One last thing, I earned more from collecting angpows today then I do if I were to work at my SIP company. 2 times more..
Ang bao comfirm big one leh for wedding. lol although i only got a measely $12 for wearing my number 1 and sword bearing for my OC. Oh your HDR's getting better, can make out that its HDR already.
ReplyDeletebut it's automated HDR.. i collected a total of $44 at the wedding. shiok sia. i want to get a tagboard for my blog, but i don't know how to do it. blog noob here. haha.
